Reuse and Recycle Bicycles
Recycle your cycle!
Can I recycle bicycles?
As the majority of your bicycle is metal, these parts can be recycled.
Find out if your local recycling centre has a mixed metals recycling facility, and if so take it in!
Firstly remove all other parts like the tyres, saddle etc.
Some recycling centres will ask for id when you take the bike in so make sure you check beforehand.
There are a few organisations and charities who will happily take your old, possibly broken bicycle off your hands. It is then refurbished and sent to Africa.
Other options....sell it! place an advertisement in your local newspaper.
