End of Life Vehicles (ELV) - Car Recycling

Recycling Lives launched Autobreakers.co.uk in 2002 as an answer to the mounting pressure to dispose of end-of-life vehicles safely and responsibly. It has since become one of the largest suppliers of used car parts in the country evolving into a new commercial organisation and is now trading under the name Billion Used Car Parts.

What started as a two-man operation has rapidly progressed to what is now a next-generation, online auto-spares company, fully embracing modern recycling techniques, computer technology and the capability of the internet.

Billion Used Car Parts works closely with many insurance companies who actively support ELV recycling and the re-use of pre-owned parts.
The team of 30 salespeople and mechanics are able to source fully-guaranteed car spares from over 50 different vehicle manufacturers.

We supply quality parts both to the trade and the public. Our database lists over 50,000 warehoused parts and thousands more awaiting removal from the cars we hold on site. Our fully searchable database and ever-expanding nationwide network means we can source almost any part, anywhere, instantly.

The wealth of knowledge gained from working within this competitive industry will put Recycling Lives in the prime position to offer ELV services to the public at all its Recycling Lives centres.

Recycling Lives offers good Corporate Social Responsibility.

Recycling Lives operates nationally to provide a wide range of recycling activities to Local Authorities, commercial organisations and the public. Recycling Lives provides housing, training and long term employment in the recycling sector, to people who would otherwise be homeless; including ex-armed forces personnel, probation and those from chaotic backgrounds.

Each Recycling Lives centre provides up to 48 quality en-suite rooms; training and office facilities; incubator units for entrepreneurs in social enterprise; industrial space for our recycling processes and retail space to sell good manufactured by Recycling Lives from recycled waste.

We do not ask for, or rely on 'gifts' from you, as we always pay fair prices for scrap metal recycling, plastic and other recyclables. By selling your waste to Recycling Lives your organisation helps us to be sustainable and you to show good corporate social responsibility.

Our social enterprise 'manages' good Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) on your behalf, by ensuring that our recycling activities are carried out by employees that would otherwise be marginalised or even forgotten by society.
