No, as they come in many different materials makes them very difficult to recycle. Although some instruments may contain metal parts which can be recycled.

Your unwanted instrument could be music to someone else’s ears! Free-cycle is a scheme encouraging people to donate things to their local community. If it is still in working order donate it to a school. Oxfam will accept donations of sheet music and musical instruments at certain music shops.

Put an advertisement in your local newspapers or on notice boards in local supermarkets or community centres. Sell it at a jumble sale or car boot.
