Vision
Recycling Lives believes that everyone deserves a home, a job, and a safe and secure environment in which to live, work and play and be given every opportunity to accomplish their true potential. Recycling Lives is committed to assisting those without a home and means of support to attain their life goals, by ensuring that:
- Everyone is respected, no-one is the object of discrimination, and no-one is excluded from participating fully in society’s wealth and achievements.
- The facilities, infrastructure and opportunities of society are available to and shared by all.
- All are appropriately rewarded for their efforts, but where some are unable to contribute nevertheless they suffer no disadvantage.
Mission
The Mission of Recycling Lives is to promote growth and development by encouraging all to see and fulfill their own unique potential. To satisfy this mission Recycling Lives offers opportunities to those who are homeless and without employment, by:
- Providing safe accommodation which is furnished and maintained to the standards expected by today’s society.
- Offering a full range of mentoring and support including pastoral care services to guide residents to the next phase of their lives.
- Making available training and educational opportunities, to equip residents with the skills necessary for employability.
- Offering work experience, jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities to enable residents to appreciate their true and unique potential.
- Responding to growing waste management and environmental challenges.
- Acting as a catalyst to bring together all those agencies who can assist in nurturing the Recycling Lives Vision by utilising the unique gifts and talents of all.
