Can I recycle my plastic bottles?
Yes, plastic bottles can be recycled, and will normally be collected by your local authority as part of your curb side collection scheme. You can also deposit your plastic bottles in a recycling bank at your local supermarket.
You should make sure you rinse out bottles remove any labels and tops before they are recycled. Try using glass bottles if you can. Glass is more environmentally friendly to recycle than plastic.
- Re-use plastic bottles and containers in the garden.
- Re-use for storage.
- Donate them! Give plastic containers to children's scrap stores or playgroups for reuse.
