Violent extremism was personified in the horrific London bombings on 7th July 2005, an act carried out by British citizens on British soil. Violent extremism is not a clash of civilisations or a battle between Islam and ‘the west’ but instead it is a small contingent of terrorists and their extremist supporters. Government is committed and actively working in partnership with a vast majority of Muslim’s who resist and reject the violence and share mutual British feelings and values.
Recycling Lives will throughout its centres aim to ‘win hearts and minds’ as is suggested in ‘Communities and Local Government’ document on PVE, throughout its network of centres across the country. Our concept crosses all multi cultural, multi faith lines and will aim to educate and inform, whilst actively promoting faith understanding through effective training.
